For 2005 the team opted to minimise design changes and build a car quickly to allow maximum testing time. The major design change that was made was to change from a full monococque construction to a hybrid front monococue with rear spaceframe.
Along with minor refinements this saw the reliability issues of 2004 sorted. A comprehensive testing program ensured that the team had a sucessful Australasian competition resulting in an invitation to the inaugural Formula Student Germany competition.
