2001

Buoyed by the success of the RB2000 the team made major design changes for the RB2001. No team made parts were carried over from the previous car. The chassis was constructed as a full monococque from aluminium honeycomb panels. The major push was to reduce weight from the relatively massive 2000 car. This resulted in a car weighing nearly one third less than the previous vehicle.
